Small Talk Children's Advocacy Center is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization in Lansing that provides direct victim services to respond to and prevent child abuse in our community. Small Talk offers free forensic interviews, therapy, and advocacy to children to have experienced abuse as well as free child abuse prevention education to adults and children. The American Academy of Pediatrics named child abuse as a national health epidemic, with 1 in 10 children suffering abuse before their 18th birthday and being at risk for long term negative physical and mental health outcomes. We work closely with our MDT partners in law enforcement, prosecution, child welfare, and medical professionals to ensure each child has what they need to heal from their trauma. Children and their families who receive the support through the justice system and trauma informed therapy and advocacy have improved long-term outcomes.

By supporting Small Talk, you empower children to find their voice, reclaim their childhood, and break free from the cycle of abuse. Together, we can make sure that every child who comes to us knows they are not alone and that their community stands with them. Your generosity can make a world of difference—please join us in building a brighter future for the children who need it most and making our community a safer place for ALL children.
